TRIP TO THE NORTH PT. 1

assalamualaikum,

it has been 7 days since my last updates... last chinese new year (09-02-2005), we went for a trip to the north... kitorang gi bukit merah, perak... pastu terus ke penang... penat gak la sebenarnye, tapi seronok... ada lebih kurang 4 family + beberapa org bujang (termasuk aku heheheh)...

first day, bertolak dari kl pukul 9.00pg (dari RnR rawang)... slow-moving, sebab banyak kereta... semua nak nyambut raya cina heheh... paling laju pun, aku boleh bawak dalam 80km/j... bila dah lepas exit sungkai kalau tak silap aku, jalan dah ok... tuh pun aku boleh lari paling laju 120km/j, tak lebih dari tu... polis banyak beb... tuh pun terkantoi, tapi bila aku check kat www.jpj.gov.my, alhamdulillah kereta aku tak diblack-list...

pastu, sampai kuala kangsar lebih kurang pukul 12.30 tgh hari gitu... makan dkt medan selera dekat tepi sungai perak, dekat kuala sayung (kalau tak silap nama dia la)... habis makan, kitorang gi solat dekat masjid ubudiah, kuala kangsar... masjid ni tak la besar sangat, tapi dia agak unik berbanding dgn masjid lain... eh, lupa lak nak bagitau, aku sebenarnya dah selalu sangat gi kuala kangsar nih, abah aku org kuala kangsar... masa on the way ke bandar KK tu, nampak la jugak kampung aku... lama tak pergi kat situ, sebab dah takde sape kat situ... tinggal je camtu... sayang kan?

habis solat, kitorang teruskan perjalanan... kali ni ke changkat jering, sebab one of our members nak turunkan adik dia... kitorang tak ikut highway... ikut jalan lama; bagan serai, bukit berapit (ada air terjun kat sini, tapi aku tak pernah singgah pun air terjun kat sini), sampai la ke changkat jering... lepas tuh, terus masuk highway balik dari kemunting, utk ke bukir merah... tak lama kemudian dalam lebih kurang 15 minit, sampai la ke bukit merah...

kat situ, lepas check-in kat laketown resort dia, apa lagi, aku pun terbongkang la kat bilik... penat tul... bangun balik dalam kul 6.30, terus tukar baju nak gi mandi swimming pool heheh...

malamnya, activity kitorang ialah pergi ke zoo taiping, night safari... buhsan pun ada sikit kot, sebab gelap... banyak binatang yg 'tido' (kot)... ok tu ada jugak la, sebab ada experience tengok activity binatang waktu malam... lebih kurang kul 11 mlm, kitorang gi makan kat railway station... ok la, walaupun tak la menarik sangat, cuma sekadar mengalas perut yg dah buat lagu dangdut nih...

esoknya, aktivity taman tema!!! kitorang pergi ke themepark dia... seronok la, sebab besar sangat... letih pun ye la jugak, habis hitam muka aku... aku try la jugak ada satu gelongsor nih, heheheh... best la... aku ingat nak naik dia punya cable car, tapi tak jumpa entrance dia... kitorang sewa pelampung dalam 6 buah, pastu nak balik tuh, hilang lagi dua... cari punya cari, jumpa kat area yg ada ombak... apa lagi, mandi la lagi seround heheheh... kitorang keluar dari waterpark tu dalam kul 2.00 ptg, sempat la aku solat dalam waterpark tu...

kat luar, beli la menda2 sikit, pastu main bumpercar... heheh, abis mangsa2 aku kerjakan... penat still ada, tapi macam aku cakap tadi, seronok la...

lepas tu, kitorang teruskan perjalanan ke penang... destinasi adalah hotel seri malaysia... nanti la aku sambung cerita nih, sebab nak buat kerja sikit... auditor nih sibuk la, takleh tengok org senang sikit...

wallahu a'lam...

translation - towards the future

Look! Look at your feet
This is the road you walk
Look! Look ahead of you
That is your future
My mother gave me so much kindness
"Embrace love and walk," she said over and over
At that time I was still immature
I didn't understand her meaning
She held my hand
And walked with me
Our dreams are always high in the sky
It's scary that they might not come true
But we still continue to chase them
Because it's our story
We don't want to give up
When I was unsure she held my hand
And walked with me
There were times when I hated that kindness
When separated from my mother I couldn't be obedient
Look! Look at your feet
This is the road you walk
Look! Look ahead of you
That is your future

There were times when I hated that kindness
When separated from my mother I couldn't be obedient
Look! Look at your feet
This is the road you walk
Look! Look ahead of you
That is your future
Look! Look at your feet
This is the road you walk
Look! Look ahead of you
That is your future
Turn towards the future
Let's walk slowly

KIA RIO EPISODE 2

assalamualaikum,

alhamdulillah, syukur ke hadratNya... aku masih dapat menghirup udara pinjamanNya... semoga allah mengampunan dosa² ku...

quite busy this week... auditor still masih ada for 2nd week... aku ingat dorang nak blah this week, tapi dorang kata dorang akan blah hari selasa 08-02-2005... argghh!!! rosak plan aku nak cuti senin dgn selasa tuh... aku nih bukannya selalu cuti, tapi bila nak cuti, ada je aral yg datang...

by the way, hari nih ialah hari kedua contract aku disambung... bukan renew, tapi extend... bezanya? kalau renew, mungkin ada revision pada salary aku... tapi kalau extension, gaji still the same... so kesimpulannya? gaji tak naik... :(( sedey... tapi mungkin aku tak terasa sekarang, tapi bila dah kawin nanti, dan aku still kat mmu nih, dan aku tak diserap ke permanent + confirm lagi, cane? argghhhh... tammo fikir sekarang...

cakap pasal contract nih, semalam kak fizah call aku, tanya pasal contract nih... dia explain la sikit pasal renewal contract / extension contract... rupa²nya, dia nak offer aku buat personal loan, dgn bank rakyat... macam menarik... pasal apa? loan tuh kita boleh buat utk melabur... bayar monthly tak lebih rm100... macam menarik... aku bukannya apa, tapi aku sendiri tak tau camne la nanti lagi 5 - 10 tahun dari sekarang... taraf ekonomi malaysia tu satu hal lah, tapi taraf ekonomi aku? ok... kata la kalau lagi 5 tahun, anak dah 2 (heheheh), pastu dgn barang pun makin mahal, tol makin naik... tuh belum campur duit minyak lagi tuh... isk isk isk... kalau congak pastuh kira on paper, memang tak lepas aku...

teringat aku masa memula beli kereta kia rio aku tuh... masa tuh, gang sarkon pergi la lunch kat anjung kat precint berapa ntah kat putrajaya tuh... masa tuh, alamanda belum ada lagi, so dealer Kia punya kedai kat situ... belek punya belek punya belek, aku terberkenan kat spectra... sama tuh jenuh en samsul ayat aku... 'takyah la beli wira nih, kalau ko nak beli pun, ko beli iswara' 'kereta wira nih, ko pakai sebulan dah tercabut sana sini' dll... bukan nak condemn, tp ada juga beberapa kawan aku dah experienced... so, based on beberapa maklumat yg dah aku dapat, terpaksalah kereta malaysia nih diletakkan dalam kategori 'last choice' kat pilihan aku...

ok sambung balik... pastuh, abis je makan, aku pun terus dihasut dan dihasut... petang tu masa balik dari ofis (aku ikut en samsul), aku call la dealer Kia tu 'saya nak book spectra' 'oh, spectra ada stock, boleh dapat dalam seminggu' 'gaji ridzuan berapa?' 'rmXXXX.XX' 'oh ok tu, esok faxkan no ic dgn slip gaji ye?' 'berapa lama dia process ye?'

'bang, yg nih kalau bayar bulan berapa ye?' 'rmxxx.xx' erk, murah sikit... rega total pun murah gak... alamak... boot pun besar, senang nak bawak barang banyak nanti heheheh...

last last, 'bang, saya nak tukar rio boleh tak' 'boleh tu boleh, tapi saya kena cancelkan form nih buat form baru' 'ok lah'... lepas abis je process + tunggu seminggu, akhirnya aku pun dapat kereta yg aku beli tuh...

so masuk hari nih, aku dah pakai lebih kurang 7 bulan dah... setakat nih performance ok, alhamdulillah tak langgar kereta org lagi, pernah kena langgar tapi calar jek, pastu ari ahad ari tu aku terlanggar divider sebab tgk kereta org yg dah dimake-up... tapi tak calar langsung, cuma allignment je lari... kena saman sekali sebab speeding, heheheh... speeding time lain tu, alhamdulillah tak pernah kena lagi... apa lagi? service dah tiga kali, 2 kat kia service, sekali kat workshop biasa... tayar buat crossing sekali, balancing, camber sumer... wiper still ok, engine still ok, kl-melaka-kl rm35 hingga rm40 duit minyak... apa lagi? sparepart? tak pasti lagi berapa ringgit, tapi aku tahu memang mahal... alamak, duit lagi...

ala, lari tajuk la pulak... tapi yg pastinya, bila aku kira on paper, memang budget bulanan aku lari... tak cukup utk sara diri + saving semua... tapi bila aku tak beli kereta dulu, gaji aku pun abis jugak, sekarang nih, kalau gaji aku abis, at least aku nampak ke mana gaji aku pergi... so tak lah regret sangat... cuma aku kena cut sikit belanja bulanan aku... takpe, takde masalah itu semua...

ngantuk la plak, esok keje... semoga allah menetapkan hati aku pada deenNya dan taat padaNya...

wallahu a'lam...

YALLA BEENA!!!

assalamualaikum,

apa maksud yalla beena? <- am, awak kena jawap :D heheheh...

BAROKAH SOLAT KHUSYU'

source : email

DESTINASI CINTA...

assalamualaikum,

dengarlah lagu ni dalam 31 1/2 kali... mesti best... heheheh...

DESTINASI CINTA

Menyingkap tirai hati mengintai keampunan
Di halaman subur rahmat-Mu Tuhan
Tiap jejak nan bertapak debu kejahilan
Akan kujirus dengan madu keimanan

Tak ternilai air mata dengan permata
Yang bisa memadamkan api neraka
Andai benar mengalir dari nasuha nurani
Takkan berpaling pada palsu duniawi

Destinasi cinta yang kucari
Sebenarnya terlalu hampir
Hanya Kabur kerana dosa
Di dalam hati..

Telah kuredah daerah cinta
Yang lahir dari wadah yang alpa
Tiada tenang kutemui
Hanya kecewa menyelubungi

Kugelintar segenap maya
Dambakan sebutir hakikat
Untukku semai menjadi sebutir makrifat
Moga dapatku berteduh direndang kasih-Mu

Namun ranjaunya tidak akan sunyi
Selagi denyut nadi belum berhenti
Durjana syaitan kan cuba menodai
Segumpal darah bernama hati

Lestarikan wadi kalbuku oh tuhanku
Leraikan aku dari pautan nafsu
Biarpun sukar bagiku melamar redha-Mu
Namun masihku mengharap ampunan-Mu
Wahai tuhanku...

AL-MUALLIM

assalamualaikum,

as requested by az, ini dia lagu al-mu'allim by sami yusuf...

wallahu a'lam... semoga allah mengampunkan kita...

DAMAI & SENDU SENDAWA

assalamualaikum,

alhamdulillah, aku masih diberi peluang utk menghirup udaraNya... beberapa hari yg lepas, umat islam seluruh dunia menyambut Hari Raya 'Idul Adha... sejauh manakah amalan yang kita lakukan pada hari kebesaran tersebut dan hari² tasyrik selepasnya? kita sahaja yg boleh menjawabnya...

atas permintaan, aku upload lagu² baru kumpulan Hijjaz dan Mestica... apa? tak pernah dengar nama kumpulan? takpe, ini bukan soalan kuiz pernah dengar ke tak, tapi just nak share di samping menghidupkan kembali budaya me'nasyid' di kalangan kita semua...

masa dekat U dulu, aku pernah dikenali sebagai 'tokey cetak rompak' lagu lagu mp3... tapi bagi aku, tujuan aku buat semua ni adalah utk share, di samping memberi peluang kepada sahabat yg lain, yg tak mampu nak keluar duit rm15.90 utk kaset, ataupun rm40++ utk cd (sorry, tak tahu harga cd sebab tak pernah beli cd) utk dengar lagu nasyid... mungkin ada kalangan kita mampu beli buku cerita, mampu beli minyak wangi body shop, mampu nak tukar handset sebulan sekali, mampu nak pergi makan prosperity burger McD, mampu beli kasut kulit baru dll... tapi tak mampu utk beli kaset nasyid... bukan kaset kuliah, tapi kaset nasyid... heheheh... sorry, minta maaf pada semua yg terasa... apa apa pun, hope you'll enjoy those songs...

HIJJAZ - album DAMAI

aku hanya umar
al-quran kalamulullah
belaian ibu <- lagu nih aku suka...
berkorban demi cinta <- lagu nih pun best jugak!
debu-debu dosa
pemimpin yang adil <- lagu khas utk kerajaan malaysia...
penawar racun dunia <- aku pernah post lyric dia... cuba scroll kat bawah tu...
pesona cinta
ritma kehidupan
salli minni ya salam

MESTICA - album SENDU SENDAWA

arus ini <- lagu nih guna loghat kelantan, tapi macam tak jadik...
destinasi cinta <- lagu nih ok la, tapi slow sangat...
egois <- lagu nih aku lupa cane... ada pasal burung merak kot...
inayah <- lagu nih yg popular kat radio era
kemarau hati <- lagu nih ala² keroncong sikit...
kembali gemilang <- lagu nih aku tak ingat cane...
luqmanul hakim <- lagu nih ok la...
sendu sendawa <- burp, kenyang... heheh... lagu nih ok jugak...

p/s: nak lagu apa? just jerit kat shoutbox sebelah tuh ok?

15012005 - 15011981 = 24

assalamualaikum,

tadi aku terfikir nak buat karangan 'aku sepasang kasut' kat blog nih, tapi tetiba rasa cam malas pulak... sat lagi nak tido rasanya, sebab esok aku ingat nak gi ofis, nak sambung buat preparation utk audit nih... minggu depan diorang masuk... macam biasa, aku (GL unit) kena jadi centre utk auditor tanya dan tanya dan tanya...

semalam dapat letter dari HR, extention of the contract... alhamdulillah, contract aku sambung lagi setahun... setahun je? takpe la, daripada tak sambung + kena cari kerja lain di waktu ramai graduates tengah 'ukur jalan' @ menganggur... apa yg pasti, tahun 2005 nih merupakan tahun clearance utk aku... clearance utk acct code nih... selama nih takde org yg nak tengok dan takecare pasal account code kat mmu nih, dan aku dah target beberapa acct code yg perlu aku zoom in... insya allah, selepas bank reconciliation utk collection acct aku settlekan, tahun 2005 akan diambil oleh kak sarimah under AR unit... baguslah tuh, harapnya kak sarimah dapat meneruskan perjuangan aku... berusahalah!!!

itu utk GL, utk financial system pulak, memandangkan ada beberapa masalah dgn team developer, aku terasa macam project pembaikpulihan finance module nih rasa macam tergendala la pulak... sejak bertukar pucuk pimpinan kat team developer, diorang mensasarkan utk men'convert' semua client server module kepada web-based module... bagi aku, financial module ni tak boleh dibuat web-based sepenuhnya, sebab dia memerlukan realtime punya process, whereas kalau web-based, utk save atau pergi pada next step (eg: approval after entry level etc), akan ada satu process lagi di mana kita kena buat process ini utk pergi ke next step... apa la aku cakap nih, aku pun tak faham...

tuh baru satu opinion... bg aku lagi, web-based nih tak berapa secured sangat... bila bercakap pasal dollar and cents, security kena power... taknak la nanti data yg ada kat situ dimanipulate atau ape² aje la yg boleh mengkacau data² yg melibatkan duit nih... bukan duit aku jek (gaji la tuh), tapi duit bebudak student yg bayar utk tuition fees dia, utk STF la, utk hostel fees la, dll lah yg melibatkan duit nih...

utk billing pulak, aku dalam process utk men'centralized'kan process tuition fees invoicing kat finance nih... before this, aku / billing unit / finance dah ambik alih billing utk undergraduates, IBDP, english program, dgn MBA... hari tuh masa meeting dgn prof chuah, dah agreed utk ambik alih master by research dgn MEng pulak... meeting dgn working level belum aku buat, nantilah... banyak benda yg nak disettlekan dulu... especially for audit requirement nih...

isk, bila baca balik post aku nih, rasa macam azam tahun 2005 pulak... tapi semuanya pasal kerja... kenapa? adakah aku nih workaholic? mungkin ye kot (kalau istilah ini sesuai utk keadaan aku sekarang)...

semoga allah merahmati segala apa yg kita lakukan...

wallahu a'lam...

TENSEN!!!

assalamualaikum,

nak jerit kat blog nih dah susah dah, takut ada org yg terasa 'dijerit'... cuma aku tensen bila aku kena buat keje org lain, pada masa memang aku tak sepatutnya tahu / buat keje tu... dah la kena buat keje org lain, pastu kena tolak pulak sana sini... semua nak main lepas tangan jek...

memang la aku jaga billing, tapi bila dah peringkat salah courses / equivalents tu, bukan part aku... billing unit ni bukannya tukang set courses, ataupun tukang register courses, tapi tukang generate invoices utk fees students... kenapa semua org taknak faham?

semoga allah mengampunkan dosa² aku...

KE DALAM DIRI...

assalamualaikum,

aku suka lagu nih...

-------
ke dalam diri - HIJJAZ

Kusandarkan lelah
Di sayap malam merebahkan minda
Membius keharuman dunia
Nan bersleirat di relung jiwa

Kucuba lelapkan semua indera
Namun tak berdaya
Sejuta keresahan melanda
Tak membenarkan sepicing lena

Diriku bak cericau
Terpenjara di sangkar dosa
Daun pintunya sentiasa terbuka
Melunak kebebasan

Ya Rabbal Izzati
Kembalikan aku ke dalam diriku semula
Agar sempat untuk bersuara
Lafaz taubat nasuha

Ku bimbang seandainya tiada lagi buatku
Suatu hari menjelma bernama esok
Kuragui seandainya tidak sempat untukku
Menghirupi bayu walau sehela Cuma

Kuhanyutkan sisa
Dengan tadahan tangan penuh luka
Mengharap keredupan pawana
Langit akhirat terbentang megah
-------

aku dah pernah letakkan lirik dia kat sinih, tapi sebab lirik dia memang meaningful, aku letak sekali lagi...

wallahu a'lam...

TSUNAMI SURVIVOR'S TALE - OP HANIFAH YOONG

assalamualaikum,

cerita kat bawah nih adalah kisah benar dari senior sekolah aku (masa dia ada, aku tak masuk RMC lagi) yg selamat dari tragedi tsunami... quite long, tp bacalah... nak lagi best, cuba hayati apa yg dia faced masa tu...

-------
Hi all,

I have been out of action for a few days after X'mas as we were in Phuket (Thailand) and had experienced the awesome Tsunami tidal waves and fortunately came out of it alive, bar some bad cuts and bruises on my body.

Preambles - My wife, Nozie and I had decided to take a short break from work taking advantage of the holidays to give our little daughter, Aaliyah a chance to savour a plane ride and the beach as she is into the age of curiosity having turned one year and five months a week before.

We decided to take the low budget room available on the island at Siam's Place at the Kamala Beach as the hotel is one of many along the beach right at the sea where gentle rolling waves lap the pristine sand a few feet from where we breakfast each morning. There was one hotel which we liked at Kata Beach sited a little way up on the hills but the room rates were prohibitive.

We discovered upon arriving at Phuket on the afternoon of the 23rd that the Kamala district is populated by mainly local Muslims, some 85% of them are Muslims and we were surprised to learn that 70% of the island of Phuket's population are Muslims. So, it wasn't surprising that the owner and chef at Siam's Place, named Siam and his family who runs the hotel are Muslims. We settled down pretty quickly and got into the routine of a swim in the sea, bathe, eat, then a swim again and play on the beach with our little daughter, bathe and eat once again.

On the 24th we hired an easy rider type motorcycle as no low budget Suzuki jeep was available and toured the beaches immediately south of Kamala at Patong and Karon. These beaches are the favourites of most Europeans and are very very busy. Thousands of deck chairs lined each of the 3 km of fine beaches at Patong and Karon. At Karon we took the opportunity to visit our American friend Tom Notaro who has lived on the island in the past 10 years. We also had an elephant ride up in the hills between the two beaches that day before returning for dinner at Siam's.

On X'mas day, we hired a Suzuki jeep to tour the island as I wanted to see Phromtep Cape at the southern tip of the island and do a little shopping at Phuket town. It was an eventful day as we saw the most beautiful view point from the cape and Aaliyah had encounters with seahawks and eagles at Phromtep. That night, even though tired, we took in what is billed as the greatest illusion/cultural extravaganza show in the east, at the Phuket Fantasea just 300 meters from our hotel. We cancelled our plans to visit Phi Phi island scheduled for the next day.

8.00am - Boxing day, the 26th Sunday of December, we woke up on this fateful day early and breakfast as usual just yards from the beach. After breakfast I went back to the room to crap and as it turned out I did a short stint that morning as opposed to my usual 15 minutes on the 'throne'.

When I headed out to the beach, Nozie and the locals were laughing and wondering in amazement why the water receded so far back and suddenly the sea was returning to us again...I immediately sensed someting was not right (even though I had never heard of Tsunamis then) and insisted that we go back to pack and be ready for any emergency. The locals were removing deck chairs from the advancing tides as we went back to the room with our daughter Aaliyah. I started packing in a hurry but I haven't been in the room 5 seconds and Nozie screamed from outside that the water was coming towards the room. I just grabbed the biggest bag we have and rushed out grabbing Nozie by the hand with her carrying Aaliyah acrossed the road. The water was roaring towards us and we scaled the back wall of the house acrossed the road and got over to the other side. A european mother screamed for help as she couldn't scale the wall with her little daughter in her arms. I shouted at Nozie to go, go, go and I turned around to help her. The wall held as I got her daughter over when the water was waist deep on the other side and she also scrampered over safely.

Across the former rice field which we ran is the Fantasea complex where we were the previous night. I left Nozie and Aaliyah on the main road outside Fantasea and told her I was going back to get the rucksack which our three passports were kept as well as my precious laptop...I really needed the laptop which hard-disk packed with 60 Gigabytes of precious data must by salvaged even though the laptop would be useless by now. Nozie begged me not to go but I did, which regretably, I realised later that she was so right.

I got back to our room along with scores of others tourists and many more locals. Some even started clearing and cleaning up the devastation that the tidal wave, which by now has receded, has left behind. I couldn't open my room door as the room was neck hign with water and outside was then calf deep. I decided to break the window to let some of the water out and the water in the room, of course, got down to below the window level and stayed there. With a few mighty heaves, I managed to forced gaps through the door to let more water out...this cost me a couple of precious minutes but eventually found the laptop and the passport bag lodged ib between a table and the tumbled over wardrobe. Just then I heard huge screams outside my room coming from every where. I bolted out and immediately saw a huge 20 feet (6 meters) wave upon me. I stubbornly clung-on to my passport bag with one land and the laptop with the other hand and kicked upwards. A beach umbrella dislodged my bag from my right shoulder and debris comprising tree trunks, motorbikes and timber planks were all around me travelling at speed towards the walls we scaled on the other side of the beach road. I decided to let go of the laptop as I needed both hands to protect my head and to swim upwards for air to stay alive. I decided that this has to be the day that I would die and I prayed to be allowed a postponement. Along with all the debris we reached the back walls of the houses across the road and I managed to stand up on a wall...I was going to jump for the roof of the house but decided against it as the walls next to me started to crumble from the force of the rushing water...I jumped to the otherside instead and decided to swim with the in-rushing sea and avoid being hit on my head by anything at any costs...I just used my arms and my legs to ward off all rushing debris while not struggling against the flow of the water and kept my head up above the water. The tidal wave was travelling around 15mph, I estimate and I was soon upon the vicinity where I left my beloved wife and daughter before I went back on this stupid mission. I glanced over where I left them but there was only water. I then saw a coconut tree about a hundred meters from where I was flowing towards with debris all around the tree...i aimed for that tree and managed to grab the debris around it and climbed up towards the trunck and clung on to it for dear life. I tried to climb up the trunk a few feet to see how difficult it is in case the swell of the waves grow...man, was it difficuly! I was utterly exhausted by then and realised I must let my muscles regenerate with more oxygen replenishment before I can summon more efforts. I rested for a minute as the rate of flow subsided and surveyed how the flow was reversing with the debris as I didn't want to be washed all the way back to the sea.

Another minute past and it was time to jump off my 'coconut tree island'...I did that and swam diagonally along with the backwash towards the external mainroad outside Fantasea where I left Nozie and Aaliyah. People were emerging again and that road was now only ankle deep with water. I stood on the exact spot where I left them and looked around for another whole minute...surveying for any clues that they might not have left in time, hope God no...please let me know they left this spot before the second tidal wave hit...there was no sign of the big bag we salvaged on our first escape, so this must be good news I said. I surveyed my injuries and saw a huge cut with some foreign body in the sole of my left foot and a bad cut across my right knee...both my legs, hands and shoulders suffered bad abrasions and wood burns...otherwise I can still walk and move around.

As the locals and tourists were dredging through the mud to look for their friends and relatives I couldn't help looking at every body they find...I enquired with the temporary first aid station at Fantasea if they saw a small lady in a blue teeshirt with a small baby and was told yes, the woman suffered fracture in one leg and was sent to the hospital at Patong but the baby was at their centre near the entrance. I trugged to the center but found the 'baby' was at least 3 years old and it wasn't Aaliyah...I went back into the former rice field and looked if she might be there, I went further up the road where the locals were helping the injured to the first aid centre and asked them, I called out "Nozie, Nozie..." a hundred times...but there was no Nozie.

I was bleeding badly but didn't feel any pain whatsoever...a Fantasea staff noticed my bad bleeding from the sole and insisted that I get first aid. He took me there on his bike and the doctor fixed my wound by pulling out a glass piece and wrapped up my foot after cleaning it. I decided to go up the hills to see if my family has gone there along with a huge number of others as the provincial government has insisted that every person MUST evacuate the low areas and move upwards as more aftershocks are comimg and would bring larger waves.

11.00am - By now it was 11 am as I glanced at the watch which I wear all the time. The first wave hit us at around 9.30am and the second probably about 10 minutes after. I took out the sim card from my mobile phone which of course no longer worked and looked for someone who would let me use their phone to call Kuala Lumpur, hoping that if my wife survived she would no doubt do the same with someone else's phone, except that she doesn't have her phone with her and most Thais in phuket don't subscribe to international dialing service. I asked the first person, an employee of Fantasea who is amongst the many from this entertainment resort that have turned out as volunteers helping all in relief work, he readily took his own sim card out and inserted mine in and I called Alex, my son, in Kuala Lumpur.

I got through on the second try even though the service were all jammed up, this has got to be a good sign...Alex said "Dad! you are OK!", I said, "Yah, thank God, did you hear? Did Nozie called?", he replied, "Yes, she and Aaliyah are saved and it's in the news.", I trembled, "Thank God, thank God...". Alex said she's up in the hills with many others and I told him where I was and that I was going to go up the hill to look for her and to please ask her which hill she's in and what location and if she can come down half way to meet me...

A couple of locals helped me up a motorbike and took me to the foothill of Kamala Puri (Mt. Kamala) and we dismounted and walked with the others up the hill...each time I struggled, they would lend their shoulders for me to hop-alomg...my foot was bleeding again and the dressing has soaked through with blood visibly dripping out. We got past about half a km uphill and I was exhausted and had to rest. These two good souls helped to change the dressing with a face towel after washing out the wound which has filled with earth and sand, gave me drinks and others who passed by offered food. I called out for Nozie every 20 meters or so and kept asking those who pass us to please locate her and inform her where I was...

We managed another half a km up after a brief rest and one said the top where most of the big groups are gathered are is not far...but I was completely drained and they say I shouldn't move any more...that I got to go to the hospital, I suggested that I would rest here and can they go upwards in each of the two hills, to look for her? They handed me over to some other Thais who looked after me...got my wound washed and waited for medics to arrive and dressed my foot up again. I couldn't bear to look at my wound as it was 3 inches across and rather deep...it has turned dark brownish and black with the blood mixed with the mud and sand that didn't get out from the cleaning. The medics got to me and they had the same doctor who treated me the first time and he cleaned the wound the best he could and wow, it now hurts, badly hurts...which I supposed it's normal now that I had depleted all my adrenaline. The doc insisted I have to go down by another route to the otherside of Fantasea where there are transport waiting to evacuate those injured to hospitals in Thalang and Phuket town via a safe route around the hills. I resisted, but they were tough cookies and they wanted to manhandle me down...telling me that I could lose my foot (exaggerating, I was sure) if I didn't do as they said. I pleaded for one more call before I go...I used the phone of another Fantasea staff and called Alex. He told me that Nozie now knows about me being alive and she was going to go down to look for me half way down. Half an hour later no sign of Nozie and my foot bleeding just wouldn't stop and they were too concerned for my well being and hauled me downhill to their waiting van, constantly assuring me that she and my baby are safe and there's no need to worry...but you would all understand the natural need to reunite after such a harrowing and traumatic experience.

1.00pm - As we were driving to the Thalang hospital, I saw scores of pick-ups, vans and ambulances going our way...the bodies, alive or not laden apparently in the pick-ups and the roadsides had many tourists sitting dazed with locals attending to them. At the hospital, the emergency rooms were used for those victims which needed resuscitation and for serious cases like concussions and fractures. I was ushered to the left of the main entrance at the pharmacy waiting area, which had been converted into a treatment centre for less serious cases. It being a Sunday, we could see most of the medical staff were called back to duty...there were at least 6 doctors and 20 nursing staff on each side treating casualties. The turn for me to be attended to came pretty quickly...my wound was properly washed and cleaned this time but the doctor ordered for a X'ray of my foot to see if any more foreign bodies are in it. The queue for X'ray was long and when my turn came, there were new arrivals that
needed urgent attention...children with broken arms, a swiss who lost his girlfriend and he was pretty bashed up on his face and eyes...I made way. Eventuall my turn came and everthing was OK for a stitch up job.

4.00pm - Wow, was the stitching painful, it was excruciatingly intolerable and I had to scream at least once to let it out of my system due to my thick skin on my sole and the huge concentration of nerve cells terminating in the surfaces of the soles and hands of homo-sapiens. The stitching seemed to take an eternity but was done eventually...and I yearn for my wife and daughter again. Called our communication centre (which is Alex) again and told him where I was and whether if Nozie calls again, she can come to the Thalang hospital. Got a pair of crutches, courtesy of the hospital got the anti-tetanus jab, antibiotics and pain killer and food and drinks also courtesy of the Thai government and hospital. I tell you, these Thais are fantastic people, they don't ask for anything...identification papers, personal details...they treat everyone without any more formality of your name to be given...locals and foreigners alike, they are treated by the staff of the hospital as if we are
their families.

7.00pm - Still no sign of Nozie. Oh well, I presumed, she may not have a safe route out of where she and the baby are...afterall more aftershocks keep coming. The hospital was sending all the foreign casualties to the 5-star Pacific International hotel at Thalang and I hopped onto the next bus at just past 7pm. We made the police report of lost items at the police station on the way to the hotel. After a shower and some rest, I called Alex again to check what's the status of Nozie, to which he said he has lost communications, probably due to handphones running out of batteries. Turned to the TV set which has BBC world wide service and stayed on this channel for the whole night. The damages and loss of human lives were immense as we all now know. Drifted in and out of sleep, feverish and chill alternatingly...woke up every now and then worrying about Nozie and Aaliyah mostly. Also wondered briefly about the US200 a night hotel bill (versus the US$25 a night which I pay in Siam's
Place) that I had no money with me and when can we get the travel papers from malaysia's Consul General who has called me while at the Thalang hospital...

5.00am - It's now Monday, the 27th of December. I was jolted awake by the shrill of the telephone. "Your call sir," the operator said. It was Nozie!! She cried when she heared my voice...she's in Phuket town at the government office. She took a ride out at 4.00am with a Thai after staying all night at Mt. Naka (not Mt. Kamala). She was very well looked after by Lin, her masseus friend she befriended when we arrived. Lin and her husband helped her flee the second wave, snatched her from the road and in two motorcycles carring her, Aaliyah and the bag against her wishes fleeing from the second wave which Nozie saw crashing down onto where I was at Siam's Place - and they took her and Aaliyah half way up Mt. Kamala to where their house is...Nozie didn't think I could have survived that huge wave...stored the bag and collected food stuffs and other neccessities before going higher. They slept in the open air and Lin made fire to ward off the mosquitoes and the snakes. Aaliyah has slept
soundly without needing the mother's tits. They wouldn't let her travel till it was absolutely safe and now she's in Phuket town all the way south of Kamala while I'm north of Kamala halfway to the airport. She'll come to me immediately.

7.00am - After a bus journey and a motorcycle ride with baby Aaliyah and the huge bag, Nozie, Aaliyah and I were reunited. For the first time we really can feel that we are all alive and well bar a few bruises. Life is so fragile as shown by the 60,000 deaths and climbing...to survive all this it must have a special meaning that my God, your God, the same God has sent to us.

Sign-Off - We like to thank the entire people of Phuket, the government of Thailand, the Thalang Hospital, the Pacific International Thalang who gave us a 50% discount to all charges, the Malaysian Consul General at Songkhla, Tuan Azizan Ismail who issued us the temporary certificate of identity so promptly at our hotel personally in Thalang on Monday, Siam's Place who treated us like their family, our dear friend Lin who helped my wife and baby child escape certain deaths, the Malaysian entrepreneur in Phuket Mr. Valentino Tan and his nephew/staff Mr. Yap Swee Hong who personally make our departure so comfortable...and may all of you who are destined to stay on in Phuket needing to pick up the pieces to start over again that God gives you strength.

Finally NO-THANKS to Air Asia who wouldn't allow us to use our return ticket without paying a surcharge/buying a new return ticket for not being able to travel for lack of travel documents and who didn't let us board the 7am flight which was delayed to 2pm while we checked in for our 1.30pm flight at 12 noon resulting us needing to stay on at the airport till our flight left at a very delayed time of 8pm (without periodical information so that passengers could find a hotel room nearby to rest) and whose offer of the use of a wheelchair at KLIA came with a demand of RM12 without any prior notice. This would be the last time I'll be travelling Air Asia and if any of you guys who need to make schedules stick better think of other airlines which are more compassionate.

If you had read all that above, I hope you will all value the lives that God gave us, lives which can so easily be snuffed out by the wrath of nature that He creates.

If you had just scrolled down to here, please give me a few more days to recoup (as without the adrenaline and the pain killers, every part of my body seem to hurt so badly now and my mind needs to regroup) not to mention the email addresses and database I need to reasemble in this desk top in my office to continue doing my work.

PENAWAR RACUN DUNIA...

assalamualaikum,

last two month, i bought hijjaz's new album, titled 'damai'... when i heard it for the first time, i really frusted, because at that time, i felt that it is the worst album of hijjaz i ever bought... then after a month, and after i heard it for xxx times (banyak kali la tuh maknanye), i found that the album is quite nice, 'mendamaikan', etc (yang baik baik la)...

kat sinih aku nak share satu lagu dari album dia... lagu penawar racun dunia, lagu dari keratan 5... tengok la esok lusa tulat langkat ke, aku upload dia punya mp3 lak...

-------

desiran bayu yang lembut damai di hati
kicauan burung di sana riang sekali
suara ombak menggamit detik naluri
gemilang kudrat illahi

di sini sana ternyata gema suara
tangisan sayu manusia mangsa manusia
terbuang budi terdorong desakan hati
saudara korban duniawi

manusia tiada aman dari kemelut ini
di dada terus bersarang sikap pentingkan diri
kuasa, harta dan nama hebat merasuk hati
kerugian sendiri

dunia umpama unta tua yang kehausan
semakin tiada tempat untuk kasih dan sayang
kerana sudah terpaut pada pesanan tuhan
terpesong tujuan

nafsu jadi raja merosak dunia
takkan datang sinar bahagia
moga jadi bukti bersama kembali
cahaya pada illahi

sedetik lalu saat pun silih berganti
takkan berulang sejarah masa yang pergi
usah dibuang di sini hanya sekali
mulakan diri sendiri

iman di dada amalan dengan bertaqwa
bantuan tuhan menjadi syarat berjaya
seiring jalan hargai nilai saudara
penawar racun dunia...

SAMSENG

assalamualaikum,

i like the lyrics... ahli fiqir - samseng

Samseng, samseng, samseng, samseng
ini bukan zaman samseng
bukan zaman samseng samseng*

pecah botol pecah gelas pecah kaca pecah kepala
cara berkuasa siapa gagah siapa perkasa siapa lagi ramai anggota
mana tempat?
bila masa?
kita jumpa
satu lawan satu
engkau dengan aku
buka butang buka baju
gedebak gedebik gedebuk
kita tunggu siapa yang akan jatuh dahulu

Yang menang akan jadi abang besar
tak perlu gusar
kiri kanan sentiasa ada orang jaga
bila berjalan kepak mula dibuka
jaga jaga jangan cuba merenung mata
amaran untuk semua

dunia ini dia yang punya

Samseng, samseng, samseng, samseng
ini bukan zaman samseng
bukan zaman samseng samseng*
tiada tempat untuk samseng
ini bukan cara samseng

Dan didepan mu berbaris peluang-peluang
tapi tidak mahu pun engkau rebutkan
Berderet-deret sasaran
namun tidak satu peluru pun engkau lepaskan
kerana engkau hanya asyik berjuang

himpunan puluhan anggota bengong
yang sibuk melaungkan suku-suku pantun
serta cogankata kosong

Keberanianmu itu adalah
tubuh-tubuh kaku saudaramu bergelimpangan
di simpang-simpang jalan yang telah engkau tewaskan

Keberanianmu itu adalah wajah-wajah kamu
yang berbinkan dan berbintikan
si anu dan si polan
terpampang di muka suratdepan
ruang2 koran dipasung kaki dan tangan

Keberanianmu itu adalah anak2 bangsaku
dalam satu ikatan berkongsi kandang
bergelar si banduan

Apa yang kan kau dapat
hanya sorakan kuat
naikkan semangat
setelah bertempur hebat
engkaulah tuah engkaulah jebat
tiada siapa yang akan berani dekat
sampai bila kau nak jadi raja membabi buta
bukalah mata satu hari kau pasti akan jatuh takhta
kehabisan bisa baru kau sedar
mana pergi tuah
mana hilang jebat
mana kata semangat
mana kiri kanan gua
mana kata bersatu
mana isi dan kuku
mana sehidup semati
mana pergi
argh!! semua janji

Bukan aku hendak mengata
tapi sudah nyata
semakin bermaharajalela
semakin berleluasa
satu demi satu
bangsa ku menjadi layu
gugur di medang perang
ciptaan saudara saudara ku
bagaimana hendakku jelaskan
pada generasi baru
dunia maju tapi bukan kita nombor satu
dunia serba canggih tapi kita masih menagih
dunia pesat membangun tapi kita masih mengelamun
salah siapa
lain makan nangka
lain kena getah
lain cari cerita
lain jadi mangsa
kerana nila setitik
rosak semua susu sebelanga

Samseng, samseng, samseng, samseng
ini bukan zaman samseng
bukan zaman samseng samseng*
tiada tempat untuk samseng
ini bukan cara samseng

wallahu a'lam...

bila baca blog org lain, aku rasa sayu, hiba... tapi utk apa? aku pun tak pasti kenapa aku rasa macam tu? sebab diorang happy? sebab diorang takde masalah utk difikirkan?

ntah la... aku rasa macam nak je aku bawak kereta aku, pergi ke tempat yg aku sendiri tak tau kat mana... kenapa? aku tak tau... ini yg aku rasakan... ini yg tengah bermain dlm kepala hotak aku nih...

apa sebenarnya yg aku fikirkan? apa sebenarnya yg aku nak? apa sebenarnya yg aku nak lakukan?

semalam, dekat rumah, abah aku cakap, keadaan makndak sungguh kritikal... aku memang sedih, sungguh sedih... tapi takde org yg faham, dan taknak faham...

ya allah, aku merayu padaMu... aku berharap padaMu... aku meminta padaMu... aku menagih padaMu... ya allah... bantulah aku.... bantulah...........

cerita tu mengisahkan ada sorang laki nih (rosyam nor) yg suka dekat sepupu dia (ida nerina)... tapi mak-mak dorang tak setuju, dan menggunakan bermacam-macam cara utk pisahkan dorang... last last, dorang kawin lari, dan terus tak balik kampung sampai lebih 10 tahun kalau tak silap... tiap kali kawan si rosyam nor ni tanya kat rosyam nor, kenapa tak balik kampung, si rosyam nor nih memang marah... dia kata 'ko takkan faham'... sampai la kat rumah, anak dorang meng'compare' nenek dorang... anak si rosyam dgn ida nerina pun kata dia ada 2 org nenek la, nenek dorang baik la, raya balik kampung la dll... bila kat rumah jek, anak dorang nih selalu tanya kat rosyam dgn ida nerina, naper tak balik kampung... yg si rosyam nor memang dah sedih, sebab mak dia tolak dia sampai si rosyam ni tempang la sebab jatuh tangga, masa rosyam cakap kat mak dia yg dia nak kawin dgn ida nerina jugak...

last last, masa nak raya, ida nerina pakat dgn anak dia, walau apa jadi pun, dorang tetap balik kampung... dorang terus masuk bag dalam kereta, pastu pakat dgn anak dia suruh masuk kereta pastu buat bodoh jek... last last kena la jugak balik kampung...

masa nak sampai kampung lagi best... first sekali nampak penggali kubur, ditambah pulak dgn effect penggali kubur tu tengok je kereta dorang... terus dalam kepala dorang fikir benda bukan²... nak tambah best lagi, sampai kat depan rumah, ramai org ada kat rumah tu, gayanya macam ada org meninggal la... dgn pak imam, penghulu dll pun ada... mata ida nerina dah bergenang dah, anak dia dah muka masam dah sebab tak pernah jumpa nenek dia...

last last nenek dorang berdua turun dari rumah... punyalah gembiranya dorang, terus berpeluk, dgn perasaan sedih + gembira... mak si rosyam nor pukul² sayang si rosyam nor... dan lepas tu masa on the way nak masuk rumah, jiran² semua tabur beras kunyit, macam baru lepas kawin la gitu...

habis cerita...

p/s: rugi siapa yg tak tengok cerita nih, memang banyak morale of the story la... sejauh mana kita sayangkan keluarga kita?

-------

TANGGA-TANGGA KE PINTU BAHAGIA

Mana silapnya arah yang aku jejaki
Yang kutemu hanya pintu sepi
Dalam keriuhan kurasakan kekosongan
Jiwaku dahaga kasih sayang

Masih tak bertemu yang kucari dulu
Hati masih berlagu
Dalam langkah perjalanan terkeliru
Hilangnya arah tuju

Sungguh lama terpisah pandangan
Sejak detik akhir pertemuan
Jauh meninggalkan dirimu dan diriku
Terpisah bersama waktu

Sejauh mana sekalipun aku berlari
Ingatan padamu menghantui
Aku tak mengerti dan tidakku mampu lagi
Menahan gelora hati ini

Ingin kukembali ke jalan yang dulu
Aku rindu padamu
Moga dibukakan semua pintu-pintu
Untukku bersamamu

Ingin aku mendaki semula
Tangga-tangga ke pintu bahagia
Mencari cahaya
Cinta yang sebenarnya
Antara aku dan dia...

VERSION 1.01

assalamualaikum,

rasanya nak dekat sebulan tak update nih... memang banyak betul cabaran bilamana kita nak istiqamah dalam sesuatu perkara... bukan perkara ibadah sahaja, tetapi perkara seharian kita... nak istiqamah memang memerlukan satu kekuatan; kekuatan yg memerlukan sepenuh tumpuan kita utk membuat perkara tersebut... kita cuba nak jadikan ianya satu 'tradisi' atau routine pada diri kita, tapi sejauh manakah kita kuat utk ambil benda tu jadikan 'tradisi' pada diri kita?

hari nih masuk 21 syawal 1425... bermakna dah 21 hari kita 'beraya'... tak hairan la kalau ada lagi yg buat open house sekarnag nih... aku pun tgh menunggu nak pergi open house sebenarnya... dekat umah hadi dgn kak shima... plannya nak gi dengan azim tapi atas sebab² yg tak dapat dielakkan, aku terpaksa pergi sendiri... tak kisah la, panas sikit kereta aku tu, tak sejuk jek...

last week, ada 2 benda besar berlaku dekat diri aku... first sekali, kakak aku kawin... APA? KAKAK AKU KAWIN? haah, kakak aku kawin... yg bestnya (best ke? tak kot), clash dgn cord dgn nida kawin... sedih pun ye jugak lah, sebab tak dapat gi teluk intan, umah nida... sorry ye nida, cord, insya allah i'll be at terengganu / johor nexttime... kena datang jugak, tak kira...

so lepas nih, semua sedara mara aku belah abah dgn mak aku tengok aku... antara dialog yg popular masa kenduri lastweek ialah "akak dah lepas, lepas nih duan pulak lah"... heheheh... memang popular... aku pun dengan penuh ke'ayu'an dan kelembutan menjawap 'tembakan' diorang "lambat lagi kot, nak tunggu adik adik settle dulu... (boleh ke?)

sekarang nih, tgh busy balik dgn audit... PwC yg ntah ape ape tu tak buat audit on bank reconciliation lagi... dah la letak benda outstanding ntah hape hape... ade ke patut; kitorang dah antar semua benda yg dia mintak, dia boleh lagi letak kat outstanding items? tak patut tak patut... ha jawap la wakil PwC yg baca blog nih... lepas tu report kat telekom yg kitorang ada banyak benda yg outstanding... kalau akulah boss kat mmu tu, dan ada pengaruh kat telekom, memang aku propose tukar auditor jek... abis citer...

sekali lagi, sebab aku jaga general ledger, aku lah yg kena jadi coordinator utk audit kali nih... auditor dari PwC akan masuk on 15th december... so macam biasa, kekecohan akan terus berlaku sehingga tarikh tersebut... buat mereka² yg terlibat secara langsung dgn aku, aku minta maaf kalau tak dapat memuaskan hati semua pihak... mintamaaf banyak²...

semenjak dua menjak nih memang banyak benda yg terjadi kat aku, yg membuatkan aku berfikir... aku yakin, ini satu ujian dari allah yg memerlukan aku menambahkan usaha aku utk mencari redhaNya... demi allah, apa yg aku lakukan dalam hidup aku nih, semata² supaya allah redha dekat aku... bila allah dah redha, semuanya akan menjadi mudah, banyak perkara yg senang dilakukan...

alamak, org depan umah ajak makan la... nanti lah sambung blog nih...

wallahu a'lam...

SALAM EID MUBARAK

assalamualaikum,

------
muhasabah ramadhan - UNIC

hari raya hari kemenangan
hari kesyukuran dilimpahi kemuliaan
di lipatan seni mehnah illahi
ada maksud murni yg lebih hakiki

pada nafsu yg dilenturkan lapar dahaga
pada fikiran di sinar wahyu dan sabda
pada hati bersih di soat tarawih
apakah semuanya telah dimiliki

puasa mengajar erti kepayahan
menghadap ujian berlandaskan iman
puasa perisai yg sangat maknawi
penyingkap hijab antara hamba dgn illahi

puasa sempurna menahan rohani dan rasa
puasa sederhana menahan indera dan juga anggota
puasa biasa hanya melawan lapar dan dahaga

lalu di manakah puasa kita
adakah masih di tahap lama

lalu muhasabah di hujung ramadhan
sudahkah terbangun jiwa teguh dan kukuh
atau kolam jiwa masih tercemar keruh
oleh sembilu dosa dan duri angkara

ketika bertahmid, bertakbir, bertasbih
terasa kita hamba illahi
yg hanya mampu mengukir tadbir
sedangkan padaNya segala takdir

allahu akbar, allahu walillahil hamd

I DONT WANNA GROW UP!!!

Assalamualaikum,

Signs that you are a 80s' baby :

You grew up watching He-man,Transformers, Thundercats, Silver Hawk and Mickey Mouse. Not to forget, Ninja Turtles, Mask and Smurfs too. Girls watched Japanese drama series like - "Maero Attack", "Oshin" etc.

You grew up brushing your teeth with a mug in primary school after recess time. You squatted by a drain with all your classmates beside you, and brushed your teeth with a colourful mug.

Remember the days when the school nurse, comes with a list for the dentist appointment, the sound of the drilling when ur friend has a fill in his tooth.

You remember the packets of milk we get in primary school to encourage us to drink more milk.

In secondary school, girls go to the library to borrow their favourite romance storybook. In secondary school, girls wear their school kain baju kurung too labuh and guys will go to the school appointed school uniform tailor shop to tailor make their school trousers to the then fashionable "baggy pants"!

During primary school days, the teacher will punish you using a ruler to hit your palm. A bowl of noodles soup cost only 40c in primary school days. When you were in primary school, girls like to go to the bookshop to buy cute stuff such as animal erasers, sharpeners, notebook etc.

Yaohan departmental stores used to be a favourite hangout for families during weekends.

In secondary school days, you buy the Bata BM Turbo school shoes. Some guys like to wear those china made ankle high shoes. Some even like to wear those very thick socks with their school shoes.

Internet? E-mail? What the hell is that? So you thought a decade or more ago. Your friends don't have pagers or handphones in school.

CDs? What's that? Cassette tapes were the norm. Movie tickets used to cost less than $5 last time.

The goodies from Mama shop used to be Mamee, Ka ka, Kum Kum, Ding Dang choco balls (with toys in the box), colourful hard "egg", "cigerette" chocolate, pink bottle of bubbles, and small tubes with yellow sticks to blow "more lasting" bubbles that you can pop more air in or slam it on.

You never forget 'Ti Kam'.

When exams are over, the board games (eg: UNO, Monopoly, CLUEDO) & hand held video games will be all over the class room.

Your favourite sound is the bell! For it's the homemade ice cream man. The cream that tops Haagan Dazs! The pink colour ice-cream with eyes plus a wide smile.

And the other peddler you love is the old lady who sells juicy Muah Chee and thick golden syrup rolled in a ballon the tip of a chopstick stick.

Another bell is the recess bell, a time to get away from school work and to eat. Another time when there is no bell but all guys will anxiously wait for it... The PJ,PE time (time for football!)

Your favourite childhood games were playing "guli" (marbles), five stones, zero-
point, catching, and/or "Pepsi-Cola one two three"! Police & Sentry.

The best thirst quencher of all times is the yummy colourful ice tubes you can buy from provision shops. To eat them, break the tab and suck while holding the freezing tube!

All gals have a barbie doll/strawberry shortcake/ my little pony/pound puppy, while all boys have a star wars figurine or a rubber band catapult that shoots folded paper!

Once was the era whereby ice-cream sticks were valueable items, than came the paper aircrafts, chalk fights.

Everyone envies the class monitor and his assitant, cos they were the ones who can come up with the daily duty rooster, giving names to teacher on who makes the most noise.

The elite group are the prefects, the one with license to move around, they consider themselves above the law.

Some boys made their own guns from wood, and used 'Bacali' as the bullets.

And your favourite holiday was Hari Raya! New clothes, duit raya, shopping, kuih raya and family outings! (YEAH... WITH ALL THE BUNGA API AND MERCUN!!)

Cheers to the 80s babies!!!

GONE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS HUH? DOES READING THIS BRINGS YOU BACK TO THE GOOD OLD TIMES?

PENING!!!

assalamualaikum,

keluar topic sat... best pulak lagu pening nih heheheh... lagu nih ezlynn dgn dato' m daud kilau yg nyanyi...

------
Ezlynn:
Lewat malam baru kau pulang
Kemana kau menghilang
Merayau entah kemana

Daud Kilau:
Kenapa awal tak kau bilang
Kalau tak ku kan luang masa untuk bersama

Ezlynn:Nak katakan dah benci
Daud Kilau:Tidak
Ezlynn:Nak katakan ku sangsi
Daud Kilau:Tidak
Ezlynn:Hanya mencari ketulusan hati antara kita

Daud Kilau:Mungkin kau mudah marah
Ezlynn:Tidak
Daud Kilau:Atau hanya melatah
Ezlynn:Tidak
Memang benar bila dikatakan cinta itu buta

Peningku fahami dirimu
Peningku mengikut rentakmu
Namun bila jarang ketemu
Rindu pula bermain di mindaku

Mungkin cara kita berbeza
Yang sama hanya rasa cinta
Berlawanan tingkah dan selera
Lebih mudah ku ikutkan saja
Disitu pening ku kan bermula

Daud Kilau:
Hujung minggu puas ku cari
Gagal kau ku hubungi..talian tak bernada

Ezlynn:
Mungkin kot tak sampai pesan
Ku bersiar dengan teman
Alkisah wanita

Daud Kilau:Nak kata ku cemburu
Ezlynn:Iya
Daud Kilau:Fikir yang tak menentu
Ezlynn:Iya
Mungkin kau belum ku kenali dengan sepenuh-penuhnya

Ezlynn:Mungkin kau kecil hati
Daud Kilau:Iya
Ezlynn:Perhatian ku teralih
Daud Kilau:Iya
Memang sukar kerna kunci hatimu belum terbaca

Orang kata kita bagaikan tanduk bersendi daging
Namun cinta masih lekat di hati bagai hempedu

KAWAN

assalamualaikum,

tepuk dada tanya iman kita...

wallahu a'lam...

p/s: every night, someone thinks about you before they go to sleep. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way. the only reason someone would hate you is because they want to be just like you. there are at least 2 people in this world that would die for you. you mean the world to someone. someone that you dont even know exists loves you. when you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it. when you think the world has turned its back on you ,take a look again. always remember the compliments you received. forget the rude remarks...

SOMETHING ABOUT ISLAM...

assalamualaikum,

alhamdulillah, selawat & salam ke atas rasulullah... just to share some points about islam here...

-------
Q: Who is Allah, and is He the same as God?
A: When talking about God, Muslims automatically think of Allah (swt). Allah, in arabic language, is "The God". He is the Almighty, the One Creator who created the universe, mankind and all other forms of life.

Q: Is it true that Adam was the first messenger of God (swt)?
A: Yes, Adam had the responsibility to convey God's message and laws to his descendants. From the beginning, Adam's message to the first generation of mankind was to worship the One True God, Allah (swt).

Q: Who is Satan and what is his name in arabic?
A: Satan belongs to another form of life "jinnkind" or spirits. His name in arabic is Iblis and he goes by another name "Shaytan" (Devil).

Q: Why does Satan despise humans and desire their destruction?
A: When God (swt) created Adam, God wanted to give Adam some sort of respect, value and position among the other creations. God (swt) commanded the Angels, including Satan from the Jinn, to prostrate to Adam as a sign of respect and not as a sign of worship. All prostrated to Adam but Satan. Satan was a mighty & distinguished Jinn. God (swt) asked him what made you not prostrate to Adam and disobey my commandment? Satan replied, I am better than Adam, you created him from clay and created me from fire. God (swt) cursed Satan. Satan vowed to destroy Adam and his descendants forever.

Q: I am still confused, I thought Satan was an angel like Gabriel and he has no free will but to worship God?
A: False. If Satan was an angel, then we wouldn't have any problems with him at all. Angels are a special creation of God (swt). God (swt) created Angels from divine light (Nur). Angles don't have free will in doing things but to worship God (swt) and obey his commandments. Satan, on the other hand, is a Jinn "spirit", and like humans, Satan and his race "jinnkind" have free will in their actions; free will of doing good and free will of doing bad. Ref. QURAN (18:50)

Q: Why did God (swt) send messengers, and why not instead communicate with us directly?
A: First, that is God's (swt) will. Second, and because of God's greatness and might, humans, in their earthly bodies, can't withstand God's direct presence. We would die instantly if God (swt) would to manifest Himself to us. Only from the mercy of God (swt) prophet Moses (as) fell unconscious when God (swt) began manifesting him self near the mount. The mount itself exploded to pieces. God's messengers are nothing but human beings, who ate like us, dressed like us, grew up amongst us, spoke our language in order for mankind to comprehend what they utter. God (swt) equipped His messengers with miracles to prove the authenticity of their message.

Q: What is Islam, and what does the word "Islam" mean?
A: Islam is God's eternal message to mankind. Islam originated by our father Adam (as) and then the torch was passed on to other God's elect messengers. Islam's message was, still and will be the belief in and submission to ONE God (swt), the Creator and the Sustainer of all things, the Exalted and the Redeemer of all things. The word Islam itself means "submission and surrendering" to God (swt).

Q: What is the deal with the term(s) "Mohamm adeen", "Muhammedanism" or Mohammedans in Islam?
A: There are no such terms at all. Other religions have been named after their founders or after the community in which the religion was prospered. For example, Christianity has been named after Christ. Judaism after the tribe of Judah, and Buddhism after Buddha. Westerners falsely gave the name "Muhammedanism" or Mohammadeen" to Islam after Mohammad (pbuh) the prophet of Islam, and also called his followers "Mohammedans". Islam and Muslims are the words of the QURAN (27:31), (3:19) & (22:78). Again, Islam is God's eternal message to mankind that originated by Adam (as) and sealed by prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

Q: I heard something about the 5 pillars of Islam and the 5 pillars of faith. Could you elaborate more on these pillars?
A: You are right! Islam has two different types of pillars: The pillars of Islam and the pillars of faith in Islam. The 5 pillars of Islam are: "Al-Shahad atan" the testimony that there is no God but Allah and Mohammad is Messenger of Allah, performing prayer (Salah), giving Alms (Zakah), fasting (Sawm), and performing Pilgrimage (Hajj) for those who are able.
The 5 pillars of Faith in Islam are: The belief in One God, Allah (swt), the belief in His Angels, the belief in His Scriptures, the belief in His Messengers, and the belief in Judgment Day.

Q: Who is Mohammad?
A: Mohammad (pbuh) was born in Mecca 570 AD. At age forty he was elected by God (swt) to convey His Message to mankind. The Message is to worship only One God, Allah (swt). Mohammad (pbuh) spent the last 23 years of his life conveying God's Message to all people. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) died at age 63 and his resting place lies in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia. He is God's final Messenger to mankind. Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) came to re-institute Islam, the religion of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus (as). The following pr ophecy is obtained from the Bible regarding Mohammad's cometh from Arabia. In HABAKKUK 3:3 " God (Jesus) came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise." The place of Teman is the area located southeast of Palestine, and Paran is the area of Mecca in Saudi Arabia where the Holy One (Mohammad pbuh) came from.

Q: Are you telling me both Moses and Jesus were Muslims? If so, prove it and I would like to see something from the Bible in this regard?
A: Both Moses and Jesus (as) were Muslims, since both had conveyed the very same Message, "Submission and surrendering" to One God (swt). Here is the proof from the Bible: Moses said: "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is ONE Lord." (DEUTERONOMY 6:4). Approximately 1500 years later Jesus said: "...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is ONE Lord." (MARK 12:29), and of course Prophet Mohammad (pbu h) came along approximately 600 years later, bringing identical message again: "And your God is ONE God: There is no God but He" (The QURAN 2:163)

Q: Are you telling me, all other religions are bogus and Islam is the only true religion?
A: Well, isn't that the case with all religions! Every religion claims that he is right and others are wrong. Islam is the belief in One God, Allah (swt), the Creator of all things. Islam doesn't believe in the "middleman" fallacy as the case with many religions including Christianity. In Christianity, to be saved you have to believe in Jesus (as) as the Son of God, and without such confession and belief in Jesus, you're most definitely going to Hellfire. Islam, on the other hand, declares that believing in One God, Allah (swt) and that Mohammad is His messenger, and obeying God's laws and His prophet's doctrine is the only passport to Heaven.

Q: Is it really sensible that God will reward He aven only to Muslims and punish others that can easily add up to millions or even billions of people of various religions?
A: Yes it is very sensible. If you read both the Bible and the Quran you will uncover that God (swt) severely punished the unbelievers and the wicked people through out the history of mankind. That includes the people of Prophet Noah (as), the people of Prophet Abraham (as), Lot, Moses (as), etc... Numbers don't mean a thing in the eyes of God (swt) and that shouldn't be considered as an exception at all. Only faith counts and not numbers.

Q: But what about people in our time! We don't know anything about Islam and Mohammad! Would that be considered against us on Judgment Day?
A: Yes it will be considered against you. Before the cometh of prophet Mohammad (pbuh), God (swt) vowed not to punish people or hold them responsible without sending messengers. Unlike Moses & Jesus (as), prophet Mohammad (pbuh) w as very distinct since he was sent to all mankind with God's final message to humanity and before Judgment Day. Everybody, the least, heard of Mohammad's name. We live in the information age, and within our fingertips, using computers or TVs, we can learn just about anything including religions. The Prophet (pbuh) told us that everyone of us is born a submitter " Muslim" to the One God, the Almighty Allah (swt), but many factors have tendency to force a person to deviate from the right path such as: Satan's influence, Parents, Society, etc.

Q: How many prophets and messengers did God send to mankind?
A: Our prophet (pbuh) told us approximately 124 Thousand prophets and messengers were sent to mankind. The Quran lists 25 of the most popular ones. They are: Adam, Enoch (Idris), Noah, Hud, Salih, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Lot, Jacob (Yaqub), Joseph (Yusuf), Shu'aib, Job (Ayyob), Moses (Musa), Aaron (Haroon), Ezekiel (Dhul-Kifl), David (Dawood), Solomo n (Sulaiman), Elias, Elisha (El-Yasa), Jonah (Yunus), Zechariah, John (Yahya), Jesus, and Mohammad, peace be upon them.

Q: Why can't Muslims accept the term "Son of God", even though it is in the Bible and referring to Jesus?
A: The term "Son of God" was used metaphorically speaking to those who were godly and pious men. It was never meant to be used literally as the case with Christianity toward Jesus (as). In fact, the term "Son of God" is used all over the Bible referring to people other than Jesus, check out the following verses: LUKE 3:38 " the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.", GENESIS 6:2 " that the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves, whomever they chose.", EXODUS 4:22 " Then you shall say to Pharaoh, Thus says the LORD, Israel is My son, My firstborn." , JEREMIAH 31:9 "…For I am a father to Israel, And Ephraim is My firstborn.", ROMANS 8:14 "For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.". So how come Christians don't regard those people as Gods, the way they regard Jesus (as)?

Q: Why Muslims don't eat Swine (Pork) meat?
A: For the same reason both Moses & Jesus (as) refused to eat it. God (swt) commanded Muslims not to eat Swine meet. God (swt) also commanded Moses not to eat or even touch the Swine meat as in the following verses in the Bible: LEVITICUS 11:7-8 "and the pig, for though it divides the hoof, thus making a split hoof, it does not chew cud, it is unclean to you. You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you."

Q: I am spiritually confused! What should I do?
A: You owe it to yourself to search for the truth, and I am sure if you have an honest intention searching for the truth, God (swt) will aid you in your endeavor. Read more about Islam and weigh your options. Read more about the early revelations & messengers of God (swt) and comprehend their law & guidance that they had conveyed to their people at that time, then compare all present religions and see which one coincide with the early revelations.

Q: But I am satisfied with my own belief, so why should I pursue other religion in the first place?
A: Remember, mankind has a free will to do whatever he desires, and we are all held accountable for what we do. If you are content with your religion, then you are solely responsible for your actions & belief and no one else.
Q: How do I become a Muslim?
A: Unlike other religions, Islam doesn't have certain rituals or baptism by religious groups or individuals. All you need to do is to declare the Testimony (Shahadatan). The Testimony is: "I testify that there is no God but Allah, and Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah". Once you establish this pure belief in your heart, then you can proceed unto the rest of the pillars of Islam. Many Islamic foundations and mosques will be able to help you getting started learning about Islam..

Q: I noticed various Islamic Sects! Could you list them for me?
A: About 84 % of Muslims are Sunni. The word Sunni is based on the word Sunnah which is an Arabic word means the Prophet's tradition. Sunnis believe in Allah (swt) as the One Creator and Mohammad is His last and final Messenger. Also, Sunnis believe in the Quran and Sunnah as the two main sources of Islam. There are, however, Muslim bunches who deviated from the right path of Islam such as: Shia, Baha'i, Sufi, Ahmadiya, etc. So be cautious in know ing whom you are dealing with.

Q: Why do Muslims pray so much, you know, 5 times a day! Isn't belief in Allah enough?
A: Besides the fact it's a Commandment from the Almighty (swt), the prayer (Salah) is considered to be a continuous and daily discipline for Muslims. It's true we have the belief in One God (swt) and His messenger Mohammad (pbuh) embedded in our hearts, but like earlier Muslims, God (swt) has proscribed Laws and Commandments for us to observe and adhere to. When we pray, we recite the Quran that has God's genuine words and directions. We also offer supplications and blessings to God (swt). The line of communication between Muslims and God (swt) never slows down ever. The prayer (Salah) itself is considered a supplication to the Almighty (swt). It is how we make our connection to God and remember him everyday. It is how we ground ourselves while at the s ame time elevating ourselves spiritually..
